About Karen

Karen started as a typographer in Chicago, working on projects like the Sears circular several Hearst’s magazines as she completed her design degree after which she moved from typography to design in the print industry. Print is her first love. From a business card to stage design she still loves print and designs for it often.


In the early 90’s the opportunity to learn a new medium afforded her the opportunity to learn web design. Karen embraced this wholeheartedly because it was the chance to design in all the colors of the world. She taught herself to design for the web. This new medium was so interesting she moved on to several certifications in web development, four web programming languages, and a second master’s in digital marketing with an emphasis on Social Media Marketing.

The last two years have brought about many changes in all of our lives and Karen took the opportunity to bring her studio to the Detroit Metro area.
